Cardo Bianco Avorio, Cardoon a mid-late very large, vigorous plant with large white stalks. Thin ribs (compared to Gobbo di Nizza). Straight plant with some spines. Spineless, silvery-green serrated leaves Cardoons are kind of a giant artichoke only you eat the stems rather than the flowers. Will grow six feet tall. They are easy enough to grow. Prefer full sun and light fertile soil. Usually need some support. Blanch two weeks before harvest by wrapping stems with newspaper or cardboard. 110 days. 5 gram packet
