Giant Daisy - Margherita o Leucantemo Gigante. Perennial. 90 days.This classic tall white daisy is found throughout Europe and western Asia, and is one of summers real delights. It is a very versatile garden plant. Grow it in sunny borders, in lawns, under trees, or mixed with other wild flowers, such as field poppies, for a natural meadow look. It is not frost tender. It is in flower from June to August. Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers moist soil. The plant can tolerates strong winds but not maritime exposure. The large flowers and good stems make it ideal as a cut flower and for adding to bouquets. It is in flower from June to August. The species is pollinated by Bees, flies, beetles, Lepidoptera (Moths & Butterflies). The plant is self-fertile.
