Lettuce, Lattuga Testa Di Burro D' Inverno is an early variety butter lettuce that has an open head with leaves that "melt in your mouth".  Suitable for autumn/winter planting.  I'm always sure to include this Italian Heirloom variety in my garden.  Plant a thimble full once a week and have salad year round.
