Pepper, Peperone Soroksari. An Elongated blocky-bell shaped fruit. Soroksari is a deliciously sweet tasting early and fast growing blocky pepper variety, originally from the Balkans. It ripens from green to very light yellow. It has a delicious and slightly sweet flavor. The plants grow to a medium height and do need support. Hungarian sweet light yellow pepper for sowing in the spring. Early with good production of 3-4 lobed fruits which are sweet and meaty. This is a large Hungarian sweet pepper that sometimes grows point up. The end of the pepper can have 3-4 lobes or points at it's tip. If ripens to a whitish creamy yellow. This beautiful Balkan heirloom pepper is almost translucent pale yellow in color. Very sweet for fresh use and stuffing as you would a bell, but when fully ripened and dried it acquires a deeper orange/red color and makes a wonderful paprika, as well.The Soroksari pepper is ideal for salads and stuffing! It also can stay on vine till it gets an orange color which gives it a more rich sweetness and makes it ideal for drying into a sweet flavorful seasoning powder for traditional Balkan dishes! Depending on growing conditions it will have zero to mild heat. The Soroksari chile plant grows 2-3 feet tall.
