White Salsify, Scorzobianca a Fiore Blu

White Salsify, Scorzobianca a Fiore Blu  Late.  White Salsify grows similar to Parsnip and produces long (up to 12") tapered edible roots which are tasty and with a good consistency.  It is recommended to protect them from frost. (The Black Salsify is the variety often referenced as "oyster plant").
