Italian Courgette Tondo Chiaro Di Nizza - Summer Squash Early Round light green zucchini from the Nice region. The variety is of good production, medium sized round fruit with consistent, white flesh. A popular spherical Heirloom Italian variety also known in French markets as “Rond di Nice”. Light green fruits with very thin skin are produced in abundance and possess a fine flavor. Great for stuffing, slicing, grilled or fried Harvest when baseball size or smaller before it begins to darken in color. Delicious raw, sliced or cooked on the grill or sauteed. Ideal for stuffing.
Courgette Tondo Chiaro di Nizza originates from Italy. It produces a prolific amount of round, light green little courgettes with an exellent flavour and thin skin. Harvest the fruits when they're as big as a tennisball. Courgette Tondo Chiaro di Nizza is also known as Round de Nice. It's a mid-early variety.
Courgette is very healthy and versatile. You can cook, grill, roast, stew, fill them with minced meat or rice and very young and tender courgettes (till approx. 10 cm) can also be eaten raw. Add some courgette to soups or Italian dishes. Staminate flowers can be filled with cheese and covered with Tempura batter and deep-fried as an appetizer or snack. You can also make a healthy soup from large courgettes.
